Kulukkallur Grama Panchayat is located in Pattambi Block of Ottapalam Taluk in Palakkad district. Covering an area of 22.74 square kilometers, the Panchayat falls within the jurisdiction of Kulukkallur Village. It is bounded by the Thuthapuzha River to the north, Vallapuzha Panchayat to the south, Koppam and Vilayur Panchayats to the west, and Nellaya Panchayat to the east.Before the formation of Kerala state, this village was part of Valluvanad Taluk in Malabar district. Etymologically, some speculate that "Kulukkamilla-oor" (a place without shaking/instability) gradually eroded or evolved into Kulukkallur, while others ponder whether "Kulukkam ulla oor" (a place with shaking) became Kulukkallur.
